Mmmmm BUBBLES!

So Cecilia has this new thing where she LOVES to eat the bubbles when she's taking a bath.
Weird...like her Daddy!

Nap time with Daddy

I just want to reach into this picture and hug her!!!!

LOOK AT ME!!!!

So Aunt Becky got me this adorable halloween costume.  How perfect that I'm going as a cow!!!

I LOVE MY MOBY WRAP, MOMMY!

So we got this carrier that's called, Moby Wrap.  Its a really long piece of fabric that gets wrapped around you, and it can hold a baby/toddler multiple different ways.  (facing forward, backward, cradled, on the hip, you can even nurse in it)
Anyway, I love it because its very comfortable for me to wear.  And if she gets fussy in one position, I just switch her to another and she's fine :-)
As you can see in the picture, she's kicking around, having a great time!

Visit with Aunt Becky

Aunt Becky is a hair stylist, and she help me get a knot out of my hair, from riding in the carseat. :-)

Picture with Uncle Donald, aka Uncle Duck :-)

Uncle Duck never missed a chance to hold me.  he made me laugh and smile alot!

Louisiana Drive

So we drove to Louisiana and by the third day, she was ready to be out of the car.  So from time to time I would hold her in my lap to get her out of the car seat.  She was sitting on my lap when Painter snapped this picture.  I LOVE IT!!  It's so cute!

2 Month update

Cecilia had her 2 month doctor's appointment...ok ok, it was on September 8th, give me a break ;-)

Here are her stats:

Weight: 10lbs 9oz (she's in the 50 percentile)

Lengh: 22 inches (she's in the 25 percentile. After the doctor figured out that she was in the 25 percentile, he asked how tall David and I were LOL. Guess she's going to be short LOL.)

She also got her shots...5 to be exact! She got 3 in one leg, and 2 in the other. Poor baby girl looked like she had battle wounds :-(

Awwwwwww

I love the look on both their faces :'-)

SCORE: Dogs-0 Porcupine-2

So lately since we've been camping in a different place every weekend. This last weekend we went to Walden, CO.
Saturday morning we woke up to our dogs having a face full of porcupine quills.
SO, David took the dogs to the town vet to get them removed. The vet had to put the dogs COMPLETELY under, to remove the quills from their faces and their paws.
It's pretty gnarly looking. After getting over the initial shock of it all, I saw the humor of it. I mean, come on, how crazy does that look!!?? And they were so LOOPY from being knocked out, it was amusing watching them stumble around. But we had to keep an eye on them because we were worried they might topple over into the fire.
The vet said he once had a dog who came in THREE WEEKENDS IN A ROW to get more than 300 quills removed from its face...EACH TRIP!! I'm not sure who's more stupid, the dog or the owners?
Thankfully our dogs didn't get into another one. But it made for an interesting trip.

Camping trip 9/26-28

So we've been going camping every weekend for the past month. Cecilia loves it!

By the look on her face, it doesn't seem like she likes it; but she does :-)

Everyday Cecilia and I go for a walk. And I got this picture one morning.

Just too precious!

Love this look on her face lol

So I'm learning how to take some nice pictures. This one has to be one of my favorites!!

Our female dog, Keiko, was very attentive to Cecilia all weekend. It was very amazing and interesting to watch.

Camping

Cecilia's first camping trip. We think she really liked it; the smells and sights. Yep, she slept in a laundry basket, but hey...it works :-)

Good Morning!!

This is what I get to wake up to every morning!! How can you NOT have a good day seeing this smile?!

Messy eater!

She never fails to make a mess when she eats...but its so darn cute!! (I think she gets it from her Dad's side of the family lol)

CAUGHT IT!!

For the first half of the day, she is VERY active and happy. I was talking to her and she let out a big smile and laugh...and I caught it on my phone!! I absolutely love this picture!

ROCKY FAN!!!!

So I love the Rocky movies; and a couple weeks ago, I did a Rocky marathon. Little did I know, she likes them too!! She did not look away from the TV during the first TWO movies. She just laid there zoned in on the TV. ESPECIALLY when Rocky and Apollo where fighting.

She also really liked Mick. She would start laughing every time Mick would yell.

So not only does she have my ears...she also has my taste for tacky movies!! WOOHOO!!!!

Time with Daddy

This is common routine when Dad comes home. She loves to sit on his lap no matter what he's doing. I think she really looks forward to this time of day :-)

Visit from Autie Chelle

Cecilia loves her carrier. However, she likes to have her hands up by her face whenever possible. While she's in her carrier she can't do that, so she just holds on to the straps by her head. Pretty cute, I think.

Getting Dressed Up

We decided to get our little girl all dressed up for some pictures. And before we left the house we took a couple, beacuse she looked so darn cute!

The first picture, she obviously wasn't happy. The second one turned out a little better.

Final Picture

We drove around Rocky Mountain National Park all day, and she was such a trooper!

We found a small patch of wild flowers and laid her in them to get this picture. I dont think she even noticed that she was out of her carseat. Poor thing was so tired. But it turned out to be an adorable picture!

All warm...and dry

All better :-)

Bath Time

Cecilia's first bath. As you can see, she did not enjoy it one bit.

Before there was three

Here's a picture before there was a little one. By this point we were ready for her to be here; to see what she looks like and to get to know her

Welcome Cecilia Marie

Welcome Cecilia Marie Painter

Born July 8, 2008 at 1:40 am

She weighed 7 pounds 6 ounces and 19.5 inches long.

She was named after her late paw paw, Cecil Painter, and her mother Kimberly Marie.

Cecilia Marie

I love this picture! She looks VERY MAD and ready to punch some one.
Her journey to this world started around 3pm on Monday July 7th (unknowingly to me...let me explain)
I was shopping in Target and noticed I was having some cramping going on and didn't pay much attention to it.
That night we had our last childbirth class at the hospital. During class the "cramping" was getting stronger; so after class (about 9pm) we checked in at the hospital to see what was going on.
They said "Yes you are having contractions, but they aren't consistent. Go home, take a bath and get some sleep, and we'll see you Wednesday at your next appointment." Little did we all know Cecilia had other plans. (it's now 10:30pm)
We get home; I took their advice and took a warm bath. (about 11pm now). About 20 minutes later, it started...and it HUUUUUUUUUUUURT!!!!! This is when we started timing the contractions for an hour, like we were told by the doctor.
As things started to progress we decided we better head to the hospital. After David and our roommate, Jay, told me I couldn't sleep on the front lawn, like I wanted to, we get back to the hospital at 1:10am.
About 1:25am Cecilia was ready to join us; HOWEVER, the nursing staff tells me "The doctor isn't here yet, don't push." (this did NOT please me, at all).
FINALLY the doctor comes in about 1:30am, and Cecilia made her very fast entrance into this world at 1:40 am.

First Family Photo

She still looks mad.

Meeting the furry family

Keiko and Coto were very curious about this new little person. David and I were watching in amazement on how gentle and protective they were with Cecilia, right away. They both go running to her when they hear her cry, and they are right by her side where ever she is sleeping/sitting.
Cecilia; however, seems to be unaware that they exist…or its that she just isn’t bothered by them one bit.

Needing a nap

Poor little girl was so worn out from the busy day of checking out of the hospital, momma's inexperience of being able to dress her in a reasonable amount of time, and not to mention meeting rest of the furry family.
