I love this picture! She looks VERY MAD and ready to punch some one.
Her journey to this world started around 3pm on Monday July 7th (unknowingly to me...let me explain)
I was shopping in Target and noticed I was having some cramping going on and didn't pay much attention to it.
That night we had our last childbirth class at the hospital. During class the "cramping" was getting stronger; so after class (about 9pm) we checked in at the hospital to see what was going on.
They said "Yes you are having contractions, but they aren't consistent. Go home, take a bath and get some sleep, and we'll see you Wednesday at your next appointment." Little did we all know Cecilia had other plans. (it's now 10:30pm)
We get home; I took their advice and took a warm bath. (about 11pm now). About 20 minutes later, it started...and it HUUUUUUUUUUUURT!!!!! This is when we started timing the contractions for an hour, like we were told by the doctor.
As things started to progress we decided we better head to the hospital. After David and our roommate, Jay, told me I couldn't sleep on the front lawn, like I wanted to, we get back to the hospital at 1:10am.
About 1:25am Cecilia was ready to join us; HOWEVER, the nursing staff tells me "The doctor isn't here yet, don't push." (this did NOT please me, at all).
FINALLY the doctor comes in about 1:30am, and Cecilia made her very fast entrance into this world at 1:40 am.
